Job Summary The Production Engineer is responsible for ensuring and optimizing work systems, production technologies, and technical processes within the manufacturing plant or at relevant suppliers. The role includes technical ownership of automated production equipment and systems, expert for medical device assembly processes, and active participation in Lean-Management and continuous improvement initiatives. This position plays a key role in ensuring efficient, stable, and high-quality production operations. KEY RSPONSIBILITIES 1. Plan, design, and optimize work systems and production workflows to ensure safety, efficiency, and standardization. 2. Perform root-cause analysis of production issues, manage disturbances on production lines, and implement effective corrective and preventive actions. 3. Provide technical support for automated production equipment and systems; ensure equipment stability, perform troubleshooting, and drive continuous improvement. 4. Within Product Lifecycle Management, facilitate transfer from technical product specifications to manufacturing processes, both at-in-house production and relevant external suppliers 5. Participate in Lean-Management and process optimization projects, promoting 5S, waste reduction, and productivity improvements. 6. Create and maintain technical documentation for production equipment, processes, and work instructions in accordance with internal and regulatory requirements. 7. Support the assembly of medical devices at an expert level. Qualifications 1. Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Production Engineering, or a related field. 2. Experience in production engineering, manufacturing technology, or process optimization (preferably in the medical device industry). 3. Knowledge of automated production systems, production line design, and industrial equipment. 4. Experience with Lean-Management methods (e.g., 5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping). Strong problem-solving skills and hands-on technical mindset. 5. Ability to work cross-functionally and communicate effectively in an international environment. 6. Good English skills |
